As a little girl, I remember so clearly the portrait of my grandmother in her wedding dress that hung in the hallway of their home. I thought she looked like a princess. As I grew closer to the age she was when she married, my perception changed. She was still stunning but I saw her differently. The tilt in her chin and focus of her eyes was strong and clear. She was so sure and confident of the future on her wedding day, not yet knowing she had decades with the man she loved, would have 3 beautiful children and 6 grandchildren who adored her.
Her photos were a Legacy of Love. A high bar that all of her grandchildren aspired to recreate for themselves.
